The billboard campaign ran between the 16th of November to the 13th of December. There are 3 billboards up for the 4 weeks at Regents Park, Kennington and Chalk Farm Underground Stations.

We have been very fortunate to get the support of White Ribbon UK – a charity that is working to end male violence on women. Authors and feminists Tara Kaushal (Why men rape) and Sohaila Abdulali (What we talk about when we talk about Rape) have supported us along with SurvivorsUK and INDIA-Abroad.

It was run by a small group of women, mothers and professionals that a common concern at the alarming rise of rape crimes in India brought together. They were concerned by a distinct lack of reaction among the Indian women in UK to the rape crimes in India. This could be because, after hearing this so many times, we have become desensitised to the crime, or just plain helpless as we have no control over this. The aim was to show that we care and we want to see a change.
